Cossey/Massey Loop

Combining the Massey Track and the Cossey Gorge Track provides a loop that takes you from the Hunua Falls carpark, up to Cosseys Reservoir. It's classed as a 'rewarding loop walk' that is 'steep in places' and 'involves wading or rock hoping across Cossey Creek.'

For a first Tramp the Cossey/Massey Loop turned out to be quite a challenge - with a minor injury and a few moans. But the hard, steep terrain was worth it with the views and the sense of achievement.

Next week we're hoping to do the much shorter Suspension Bridge Loop.
